Human Machine Interface Upgrade

Obsolete human-machine interface technology is putting your line at risk of a complete shut down. Don't keep your customers waiting and let your reputation suffer.

Line Control Automation Upgrade

Your line risks a complete shut down because of obsolete line control technology. Don't keep your customers waiting and let your reputation suffer.

Description

Our Line Control Autocure 4.1S (slimline) provides control of the line, monitoring of the machines, production follow-up and a user friendly operator interface. It also enables productio enhancments and ensures production reliability of the line as well as the quality of the final product.

The line control consists of a Line Control Unit (LCU) with a fail safe Siemens PLC, an industrial field bus for controlling distributed I/O and drives, a user friendly movable control panel with a Siemens touch panel. The software contains all logical sequences and calculations for performing.

Process sequences
The process sequence control function is an important benefit which ensures high cable quality during ramps maximizing the amount of quality cable from the start to finish of the process and reducing the need for operator supervision. To initiate a process sequence, the operator only has to click the corresponding button, the alternatives being START (slow speed), PROD (production speed), SLOW (e.g. for reel change), and END (automatic after curing and cooling).

Synchronisation of all machines
When a sequence has been selected, the control automatically synchronizes the line speed and the curing tube temperature to be suitable for that particular phase of the process. The line control also takes care of the extruder and tube heating temperature, as well as the logics and interlocking of machines, valves, pumps, and the system diagnostic of hardware modules and bus nodes.

The user friendly man-machine interface is implemented with a Siemens touch panel. The main features of the operator interface include simple process monitoring with measurements, state displays, setvalue and command handling, basic alarm handling showing active alarms with clear texts, and a basic recipe system whcih enables production parameters to be saved and recalled when required. Note: our NCC/NCS calculations can not be automatically linked to the Siemens touch panel recipe handling.

Options

  • Cure Calculation Program NCC OFFline
  • Cure Calculation Program NSS OFFline
  • Interface box for line machines
  • Remote service connection
